This position is Essential and is required to report to duty before, during, and immediately after a civil emergency.
Supports the Office of Solid Waste as an entry-level clerical and public contact position providing information and/or specific and general services offered in the department.
Facilitates the development of public trust and confidence in the City.
This is a contractual temporary position not to exceed 4 months.
This position is full time, 40 hours a week.
After the applicable waiting period, the individual will be eligible for health benefits.

Regular and punctual attendance.
Creates, responds, distributes, monitors, and resolves customer service-related matters through the utilization of customer service and work order programs such as 1PSL and other data systems.
Handles 1PSL customer concerns/complaints and requests for service or reroutes to appropriate personnel for resolution.
Works with customers to resolve problems related to their service request and may assist with other department related questions.
Provides a high level of customer service to internal and external customers via telephone, 1PSL System, and/or in person customer service.
Accomplishes customer service goals and department expectations of customer service excellence.
Gathers information required for the creation of 1PSL work orders.
Monitors programs and systems including, but not limited to, 1PSL and other data systems to include data entry and the creation of reports for distribution.
Performs clerical duties relating to customer account records.
Other duties as may be assigned.
1PSL CALL TAKER RESPONSIBILITIESHandles 1PSL customer concerns/complaints and requests for service or reroutes to appropriate personnel for resolution.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma required.
One (1) year of experience in customer service required.
Some formal education in business, office management, etc.

Possession of valid Florida driver's license and maintenance of clean driving record required.
Bilingual Spanish-speaking highly preferred.
A comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Knowledge of standard office methods and procedures.
Knowledge of the Department and City policies, procedures, and practices.
Knowledge of modern record-keeping and recording methods.
Ability to organize data and present findings clearly.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
Ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
Ability to make arithmetical calculations with reasonable speed and accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
Ability to focus on the positive in every situation.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
