This entails answering phone calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing patient questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment.
Due to the nature of the job, some administrative duties will be performed.
Responsibilities for Receptionist Knowledge of EMR and ability to assist with prescription refills Excellent organization and filing skills Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner at all times Check-in, checkout and collect copayments for in person and virtual visits Schedule/Reschedule/Cancel patient appointments for multiple providers Input patient information into Electronic Medical Records System accurately Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including efax system, a copy machine, scanner, and a computer Keep detailed and accurate records of patient requests and of calls received and direct to the intended recipients in due time Receive and respond to emails promptly Send patients emails regarding appointment preparation Able to fill basic forms including FMLA forms Able to write basic letters including sick notes Able to complete prior authorization requests Maintain the general office filing system including creating and organizing new patient charts Insurance eligibility verification (not required but good to have) Past administrative or front office experience is a PLUS Receptionist Qualifications / Skills:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required 1-2 years of relevant experience in an office environment Job Types:
